In brief

What works, what to weigh

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Quiet, green neighbourhood close to the metro — The hotel is set in the calm Neuhausen-Nymphenburg area, a 10-minute walk from Gern station and near the Olympiapark. Multiple guests praised the peace and greenery.
  • Kitchenette in every room — Each apartment comes with a small kitchen – kettle, cookware and a dining table – letting you prepare meals and save on eating out.
  • Free minibar and beer — The mini-bar is restocked daily with two bottles of water and two bottles of beer at no extra charge – a genuinely rare perk that several guests highlighted.
  • Friendly, helpful staff — Guests consistently described the team as competent and willing to help with any issues.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Rooms are compact and some are poorly laid out — Several guests found the rooms small, and the maisonette layout – with the toilet and bath upstairs – was awkward for groups of three. The sofa bed was curved and not sleepable.
  • Housekeeping is superficial and the balcony is often ignored — One guest reported the balcony was never cleaned, and cleaning overall was described as very surface-level. The 9am knocking for housekeeping can be intrusive.
  • The kitchenette is very basic — Expect only one cup and no frying pan – cooking is possible but limited. Guests needing serious meal prep should account for that.
  • No hairdryer in the room — A guest noted the room had everything except a hairdryer, so pack your own if needed.

“Liked the hotel's proximity to Olympiapark – easy walk.”

7.9Verified guest

“Well-kept hotel with friendly, low-key staff. Great location near a park for walks. Rooms are modern and compact, with a safe, mini-bar, and sofa bed. Good breakfast options. Overall a solid stay.”

7.9Verified guest

“We had two rooms. One was a business suite – very comfortable and logically laid out despite the small size. Cleaning was good. The second was a two-floor maisonette with a double bed upstairs and a large balcony, but the balcony was never cleaned. The toilet and bath were also upstairs, making it awkward for three people – the sofa is curved and not sleepable. The kitchen was tiny with only one cup and no frying pan. The mini-bar was restocked daily with two waters and two beers – a nice touch. Housekeeping knocked at 9am; staff were willing but cleaning was superficial. The centre is four subway stops away or a 45-minute walk; the metro is five minutes from the hotel. There's a lovely Italian restaurant downstairs.”

7.9Verified guest

“Cozy room, efficient service, and great amenities – free Wi-Fi and a handy kitchenette for making meals.”

7.9Verified guest

“Nice, quiet neighbourhood. A supermarket is right next door. Staff were friendly. The room had a small kitchen – tiny, but it had everything we needed. Plenty of furniture and a comfortable bed.”

7.9Verified guest

“Some rooms have balconies, suitable for smokers. The shop and bakery are a stone's throw away, so you can have breakfast in your room and skip the hotel's pricey, repetitive breakfast. The kitchenette has dishes and a small stove. The minibar is free – a rarity. Also a safe and a heater. You can hear noise from the hallway and neighbouring rooms. The area is very quiet, feels Italian, with several trattorias. One restaurant next door we tried for family dinner. The metro is 5–7 minutes away. The hotel has its own garage with spaces usually available, no booking needed. Free street parking near the hotel but often full.”
